The new EdgeCam1250 is a complete dual camera, turn-key recording system that features two 520 tv line cameras with 6.56’ (2 meter) cables, a 1-2 switch box and a high resolution DVR (720x480 resolution at 30 frames per second with a 3” LCD screen). The DVR is encased in a crushproof, water-resistant, 6.37”x 4.75”x 2.12” (16.2x 12.1x 5.4cm) housing and will only record footage from one camera at a time. This hybrid system incorporates key characteristics of both the EdgeCam1100 and RallyCam systems; the end product is compact, versatile and can alternate recording between two separate cameras for approximately 30 hours (on a 16 gig sd memory card in “web” mode). The EdgeCam1250 can function as a completely self-sustained recording system, powering both the cameras and the DVR, or it can draw power from a 12 volt accessory plug/vehicle battery, or be hard-wired.
The batteries last approzimately 3 hours, and the system will record for approximately 2 hours on the built-in 4 gig SD card (each additional gig of memory allows approximately 35 extra minutes of recording). The entire system weighs only 4 lbs (1.81kg). This system records in ASF format.
