The new EdgeCam1200 is a complete single camera, turn-key recording system that is completely self-sustained, powering both the camera and DVR, or can draw power directly from the vehicle battery via the included 12 volt accessory plug, or be hard-wired. This systems features a 520 tv line camera and a high resolution DVR (720x480 at 30 frames per second with a 3” LCD screen). The DVR is housed in a crushproof, water-resistant, 6.37”x 4.75”x 2.12” (16.2x 12.1x 5.4cm) housing. This hybrid system incorporates key characteristics of both the EdgeCam1100 and RallyCam systems; the end product is compact, versatile and can record for approximately 30 hours (on a 16 gig sd memory card in “web” mode).
The batteries last approximately 3 hours, and the system will record for approximately 2 hours on the built-in 4 gig SD card (each additional gig of memory allows approximately 35 extra minutes of recording). The entire system weighs only 3.2 lbs (1.45kg). This system records in ASF format.
