EC-1000 / EC-1100 Quick Start

If you have the new EdgeCam1100 (720x480 resolution) system Click Here

1. Plug camera cable into back of water-tight box.
2. Insert SD Card into side of DVR (writing down)
3. Press and hold the power button on the DVR until screen comes on.
4. Navigate to “AV Rec.” by pressing the fast forward button.
5. Press the pause/play button to select “AV Rec.”
6. Set DVR in box. Insert side of DVR firmly into plug.
7. Turn switch in box to “on”.
8. Press the power button to begin recording. (red light will show on screen).
9. Slide the “Hold” button on, on top edge of DVR.
10. When finished recording, slide “Hold” button off, and press the power button to stop recording. (red light will disappear)
11. Turn switch in box to “off”.
12. To turn off, press and hold the power button until screen turns black.

* make sure to charge both the water-tight box and the DVR.
* make sure camera view is positioned correctly by looking at screen of DVR.
* make sure to insert an SD card into the DVR for your video to record onto.
* make sure to set the volume between 8 and 10




Troubleshoot Guide:



If Screen turns black when you turn the DVR on...

1. Remove DVR from box, and make sure it is set to “AV/Record”. Press the pause/play button, and re-insert DVR into box.

If Screen is still black...

2. Make sure to turn the switch in water-tight box to “on”. The camera view should display on the DVR Screen.

If Screen is still black...

3. Make sure to insert SD Card writing face-down into side of DVR.

If Screen on DVR is still black, make sure you charged the water-tight box.

If DVR Screen displays “memory full”…

Your SD Card could be full, or...

1. Make sure you have an SD Card in the DVR and the Memory is set to “SD”…

   a. Navigate to “Memory” by pressing the fast forward button.
   b. Press the pause/play button until screen displays “SD” in front.
   c. Continue recording.

If, while recording, the DVR switches modes or stops recording…

1. Make sure, after setting the DVR to record, to slide the “HOLD” button on, on the top edge of the DVR, so as not to accidentally hit a button on the DVR.

If a loud beep records onto your video...

1. Make sure to set the volume on the DVR between 8 and 10, which is the optimum volume that is not too sensitive. Do this in "AV/Record" mode right before pressing the Record button, by using the "+" and "-" buttons.
